Gwilym was out for day 2 of the Lowland Leader Training on behalf of Andy Holborn with the Quantock and Mendip AONB volunteers today but this time around the Quantock Hills. It is the 80th anniversary of Trig Points (but it turns out that it was actually yesterday) so they thought they should probably go to the one 400m from the carpark before we did anything else. A mixture of woods and more open ground on nice big tracks or smaller muddy trails. We saw all kinds of bird life today including Stone Chats and Sky Larks and loads of tadpoles in a puddle
This group are going to be out and about soon offering guided walks in their respective areas and their local knowledge is really good so watch out for this service starting.
